A few preliminary checks
A quick look at the car's body. If the paint is new, ask when it was painted and do watch out for small retouch jobs which often cover up worse beneath eg large rust areas.
Do also inspect bumpers and wheel arches for rust or filler.These are the most likely areas for touch touch up work.
Do the edging on the bonnet align with the fenders and panels?
Such clues may point to previous car rash incidents.

An internal inspection will show how worn the seating and floor covers are.
If they are well worn then high mileage is certainly indicated.
Start the card and take it for a drive.If it fails to start 1st time beware.
It could lead to headaches for you.
On your t4st drive, try sharply braking and try all the lights& windscreen wipers.

If the mileage seems low to you, have a mechanic decide if the speedometer has been compromised.
Driving another identical vehicle gives you an instant feel for the car and help you notice problems, you may otherwise miss.
